My Favorite Holiday Cookie (& Cookie Hop)

I love December.  I love the smell when you first turn the heat on in your house.  I love the first snow fall, but not as much as I love snow days.  I love Christmas.  I love baking cookies.  I love eating cookies.

A bunch of my friends from Classroom Tested Resources have joined together to share our favorite cookie recipes that you're going to want to try this holiday season!

I love thumbprint cookies!  They are one of my all-time favorite cookies.  When I was a kid, I would eat the edges first, leaving the middle for the last bite.  Who am I kidding?  I still eat them like that!
These cookies are easy to make and my kids love to help put the jam in the thumbprints.  I usually make about half of the batch without nuts since my kids won't touch anything that even remotely looks like a nut with a 10-foot pole!
You can find a printable this recipe here.

My favorite jam to use is seedless raspberry but you can use any flavor.  I've also seen these cookies rolled in sugar instead of nuts and some people even drizzle a little icing on top.  You really can have fun with them!
What is your favorite cookie?  You just might find a new favorite as you hop around our blogs to read about our favorite cookies.  You can find links to 19 of our favorite cookie recipes at the end of this post.

There are a couple more weeks before winter break.  I know your class is probably going crazy!  I have a couple of holiday-themed FREEBIES in my TeachersPayTeachers store you might want to check out!

From my family to yours, I hope you have a happy holiday season with those you love the most.
